Ed N2TE found my reserve beacon network node and hit me up on email about doing a presentation on the RBN setup as well as CW for the Lakeland radio club. I had done a general CW presentation at a computer security conference a couple years ago so I added the RBN info to that. I drove up to Lakeland after work for their monthly meeting on Monday Sept 8th. They do their meetings a little different. There’s a VE session directly before it and they don’t really do the old/new business thing just covered a couple small admin issues and then it was straight to the presentation. They have an excellent space in a very large meeting room in a church. Tom N4YI from SPARC also came and did his campaign speech for division director ahead of my presentation.
